Project Bag-this zippered project bag can be used to organize fabric, blocks, notions, and patterns for specific projects. It has a clear vinyl or mesh front for easy project identification.
We will be making this project bag at our _________meeting.
Supply list:
(2) 18” or larger fabric squares. These can be pieced or whole-cloth. You might choose to use an orphan block in your project. Make this larger than the finished bag that you want. They will be squared before binding.
(1) 18” X 6” pieces of coordinating fabric for trim at the bottom of the bag.
(3) 18” x 5” pieces of coordinating fabric to attach zipper and vinyl.
(1) 72” (or larger) x 2.5” for length of binding.
(1) 18” or larger square of batting. (size to fit your squares)
(1) 18” (or larger) zipper with plastic teeth. We will cut this down to size.
(1) 18” X 12” piece of clear, medium weight tablecloth vinyl (KEEP the paper!) or mesh.
Coordinating thread.
Mini Clips ( do not use pins on vinyl)
To do ahead of time
1) Layer the two fabric squares with batting in between. Quilt this piece any way you like. I used simple straight-line quilting 3”-4” apart, or followed a pattern on my fabric pieces.
NOTE: Everything is made a little larger and squared to size.
