Jean, the HQC president acknowledged the program committee with appreciation for the much-enjoyed 50th anniversary celebration and successful shop hop.
Website: Is up to date. Information on project supplies and dates can be found there.
Treasurer: Peggy D. provided the account balance and reported that club insurance was paid and reflected a premium increase.
Historian: Julie C. reported that she has stored a collection of photographs provided at the 50th Anniversary Celebration. Duplicates of these were offered to members.
Comfort Quilts: Carol M. asked that any completed crayon bags for Bivona Child Advocacy Center be turned in at the November meeting filled with crayons and coloring books. Marlene C. reported that 16 quilts were donated to the NICU at Strong Memorial Hospital.
Wild Wings at Mendon Ponds Park Nature Center, has a group that make animal toys who is accepting donations of cotton fabric scraps and yardage.
Retreat: Chris B. distributed a sign-up sheet for the Fall Retreat October 20 – 22, 2025 at Notre Dame Retreat Center, 5151 Foster Rd, Canandaigua, NY 14424. Details and pricing can be found on the website.
Sunshine Committee: Zoe S. no new report.
Books, Magazines: Kathy R had an assortment available today.
Program: Linda S showed examples of the seasonal projects for the year;

- The Queen Bee Groups were announced and given time to meet and discuss their blocks. Groups of 4 – 5 were determined by drawing names from a basket. Each person in the group will take turns being the queen bee (the person who determines which block will be made) for the months of November, December, January, February and March, one 12″ finished block will be made by everyone in their group each month. Finished quilt for donation will be due at the Business Meeting in June.
A sign-up sheet was passed for the Fat quarter bag class on November 18th.
Fabrics: No Report
Holiday Charity: The new coordinator position is open. This year gift cards will be collected for Margaret Home in East Rochester, a residential facility for mothers in need. Cards from Wegmans, Tops, Walmart and Aldi’s are recommended.
Holiday Luncheon: No report
Sit & Sews Sit and Sews are scheduled at Jackie Lynne’s from 11:00 to 4:00 ($5 fee applies) through December and the Henrietta Town Hall through October and November. December dates are not yet set.

Quilts at the Kenan 2025 will take place Friday through Sunday, November 7th through 9th, 2025 at the Kenan Center Arena at 195 Beattie Ave in Lockport, NY. Admission is $6

Protocols and By-Laws:
These documents were available electronically to members prior to the meeting and hard copies were provided at the meeting. Connie K. presented the proposed Protocols and By-Laws. Modifications and additions were made by the attending membership to the Protocols. The Protocols were accepted as modified.
The membership agreed upon a few modifications and additions to the proposed By-Laws. Once proposed By-Laws changes are included in the document, the document will be made available to the membership prior to the next business meeting. It will be presented at the next business meeting, and a vote will be taken to finalize them.
