Minutes from 9/3/2024 were accepted with no changes.
Jackie V. gave an update of Marcia G. who remains seriously ill at Strong Memorial Hospital. She is progressing though still on life support. She is able to walk with much assistance and is eager to return home. Cards of encouragement can be sent to Marcia c/o Jackie or directly to the hospital.
Treasurer: Cathy F. gave the account balance. A donation to the Henrietta Public Library was made today with proceeds from the June picnic fabric offerings.
Scholarship funds are still available for members to attend non-club classes and workshops. Scholarship Application and Criteria are available on the website. Recipients agree to show completed projects and/or share information and skills learned.
Retreat: The next retreat is Oct. 21- 23, 2024. A sign-up list was circulated today and payments were collected. Space is still available. Please contact Chris B. Details are available on the website. Space for the spring retreat is being reserved now.
Books, Magazines: Kathy R. will offer books and magazines at alternating meetings. If members choose items offered, free will donations may be collected. Any books, magazines etc that are collected should be given directly to Kathy R. or an officer.
Fabrics: Joyce J. will be collecting fabric donations from Sara to be offered at future meetings on alternating months.
A Scrap Exchange will be held on Nov. 12. Bring in any usable fabric scraps, they will be set out for members to select.
Comfort Quilts:
Labels are available to attach to quilts for donation. See Carol M. or Marlene C.
Catholic Family Services and Hillside Children’s Center will be receiving quilts this week.
CFS only wants bed sized quilts. Hillside wants quilts for children 11 years old and younger.
Thank you notes were received from both Isaiah House and Caring Choices.
A total of 18 quilts were collected since the last business meeting.
Chris B. has batting available for comfort quilts. Please contact her with size needed and arrange for pick up at a meeting or Sit & Sew.

Holiday Charity: Coordinator position is still OPEN. Please see Jean O. to volunteer.
Library Display Case Project: Julie C. is collecting items to be used in the display case in December. A list was circulated for ideas and items that can be lent for the display.

Linda S. distributed squares of Insul-bright to be used on the Dec. 3 Pot Holder Swap. Make 1 or 2 pot holders of any pattern.
Paint Chip Challenge; 2 chips were distributed to anyone who has not yet received them. A third color can be added. Project is due June 2025.
Block of the month projects have begun.
Fall Project- Patchwork Pumpkin due in June. Block can be made into item of your choice.
Oct 8 class for the Buttoned Tea Bag Holder will be held at the Library community room along with a Sit and Sew from 12:30-4:00.
