Meeting Minutes June 6, 2023
Attendance: 41 members in attendance, 0 guests. One new member was added.
Minutes from the 5/2/2023 meeting were approved.
June and July Birthdays were recognized.
Treasurer: No report
Membership: Membership dues for the next term will be accepted up until the picnic on June 13.

Picnic June 13, 2023: Sign-up sheets were passed for food to bring and volunteers for day of picnic.
The location is Bushman Cabin – Henrietta Town Park
10:30 arrival is for set up volunteers only
11:00 arrival is for food set up volunteers.
ALL OTHERS: please do not arrive before 11:30. Fabric Silent auction will begin then.
Lunch is at NOON.
Bring your own place setting, utensils and bag for your purchases.
Books, Magazines and Fabric: Last chance printed materials and were offered to members today.
Contributions are still being accepted. Fabric will not be available again until the picnic.
Comfort Quilts: At the end of this program year (June 2022-June2023) 113 quilts, 50 stuffed animals and 2 bags of home décor items were donated to various charities. The membership is commended for their generosity.
A thank you note was received from Catholic Charities in appreciation for the club’s donation to their refugee resettlement project.

Shirley F. a longtime member passed away in May at age 93. A collection will be passed at the picnic for a charity of the family’s choice.
Program: Members presented the completed challenges that are due today – one color
project – Mystery Quilt – Fat 8 th Frenzy – casserole carrier with pocket and Ohio Star project.

The next challenge is due Sep. 5. “Jackie’s Challenge” use a favorite piece of fabric (one you hate to cut) or orphan block as a panel and piece/quilt. Around it. Be creative.
Road Trip to the Quilt Farm in Boston, NY. On Aug 15,2023. A list was passed for those
interested and for carpooling. There will be a 15% discount for club members with club name tag. There will be lunch at Pasquale’s in East Aurora.
Sit and Sews: Sit and Sews at the Town Hall are free; Jackie Lynn’s when available for f $5.00 per person. Remaining dates through July are:

Show and Tell: Members presented quilts recently completed; photos are on the website.
There will be no Business meeting on July 4 or July 18.
The next Business Meeting will be held Aug 1, 2023 at the Henrietta Town Park outdoors behind Bushman Cabin.
