Picnic is in one week, June 11 at the Town Hall starting at 11:15 On arrival sign up for silent auction & bid on fabric. Lunch is at noon. The kitchen facilities are limited. The HQC will provide beverages and dessert (cupcakes from Cheesy Eddie’s). Please bring your lunch and place setting. The sign-up sheet was circulated again today.

Membership: Annual membership fees are accepted now through June.

Website: A new tab titled “History” has been added to the website which contains the club’s timeline through 2016.
Books, Magazines, & Fabric: An assortment of books & magazines were available. Donations support the club’s website, insurance premiums, facility rentals, holiday luncheon etc. Please consider selecting some items offered.
Non cotton fabric and storage bins were offered today. Any left after the meeting will be donated to Craft Bits & Pieces resale shop in Fairport.
Comfort Quilts: Carol M. reported that from 9/2023 until 5/2024 in addition to home décor items, many stuffed animals and 35 book pillows, club members have completed and donated 244 comfort quilts for various charities. The members are commended for their generosity and support of the community.
3 quilts were collected today. Labels are available from Carol M or Marlene C.
A summer project suggestion was made to make baby quilts for the Strong Memorial Hospital NICU (Intensive Care Nursery) approximately 24X36 inches up to 36×48 inches. Marlene C. will collect them.
Sunshine: Please notify Zoe S. if you know a member who would appreciate support.
Ginny S. shared that she has lost her husband. The published obituary was shared with members.
Program: Completed Challenge quilt projects were displayed – Mystery Quilt; 2 color quilt and panel quilts. Photos are on the website.
June 18, 2024 at Jackie Lynn’s at 11:15 , Lynn K. will demonstrate mitered borders. Bring some scrap fabric (squares and strips) to practice. Jackie Lynn’s at 11:00 – There is a $5 fee.
