Bivona still requests a hold on collecting stuffed animals.
Angel care still accepts small infant quilts/receiving blanket size. However, the charities that have received children’s quilts by size and motif are not accepting these types of quilts currently. There is a backlog of 50 on hand. If anyone can identify a charity in need of these smaller size children’s quilts, please notify Carol M. Jean M. found Caring Choices which has offices in Webster and Chili. As part of it’s services Caring Choices provides free baby supplies and layettes to moms who need them and would love to have children’s quilts. Since the bylaws require a member vote to add on a new organization, please let Carol M know if this agency is not acceptable. Quilts for ages 10 and up are still needed especially twin size. Labels for comfort quilts are still available.
The last delivery of HQC labels was received. A person who can make labels was sought, Esther T. has volunteered to make labels going forward. Thank you, Esther.
There was a discussion regarding collecting blankets for donation and the possibility of a “blanket drive.” The discussion was tabled for the present time.
