Retreat : The next retreat is April 26,30 and May 1, 2024. A sign-up list was circulated today.
Comfort Quilts: 18 quilts were collected today for donation.
27 quilts were donated to Monroe Community Hospital, 10 of them were children’s quilts.
Adults size (3yard quilt size/twin) and children’s size (36X36 or larger) quilts are still needed.
Villa of Hope is still in need of quilts for teenagers and smaller children.
Other organizations that will accept quilts were presented and put to a vote by raise of hands.
These organizations were accepted as quilt recipients:
-The Margaret Home, a sustainable home that cares for pregnant women who are experiencing homelessness or unstable living conditions in the Rochester area.
-Caring Choices Pregnancy Help Center, a free medical clinic for women facing unplanned pregnancy and need a supportive place to explore their options.
-St. John’s Meadows will take lap quilts as needed.
If there is any objection to a specific organization receiving one of your comfort quilts, place a note with your quilt indicating this.
Henrietta Quilt Club labels for Comfort Quilts will be made by Marcia G. going forward.
Books, Magazines and Fabric:
An assortment of magazines and books as well as fabric from the summer offerings was made available today.
Due to weather, the planned offering of Lois’s fabric at the Town Hall was postponed on 1/23/24. Reschedule date is pending.

Most Challenging Quilts’ were presented by members with comments about the challenge.

Jean M.’s class a quilt as you go table runner at Henrietta Town Hall sit and sew is on 2/13/24. Information is on the Project page. Prep fabric strips before the class. Fusible fleece OR your backing basted to regular batting can be used.
February Monthly Project due in March, is a set of placemats as a companion to the Quilt-As-You-Go table runner from class on Feb. 13.
There are changes to the program dates going forward. Please check the website.
Sit and Sews / Meetings etc.: Sit and Sews at the Town Hall are free; Jackie Lynn’s when available for $5.00 per person. The Town Hall is available through March 12.
