Comfort Quilts Stitch Warmth into Every Community
About Our Mission
At Henrietta Quilt Club, we believe that a handmade quilt can offer warmth, comfort, and hope to those in need.
Each year, our members come together to create and donate quilts to:
Current charities and their requests (2025):
Bivona: ‘tween and teen
Hillside: children under 10 years
Caring Choices and Margaret House: baby, toddler
Strong NICU
Catholic Family Charities: adult and home dec items
Coldwater House: moms and school age children
Ronald McDonald House: snuggle quilts
Mary’s Place: adult twin or larger
Sleep in Heavenly Peace: child, ‘tween and teen twin size
Monroe Community Hospital: any size, no baby quilts.
Suggested quilt sizes:
a) NICU: 24×36 to 36×36
b) Crib sized for babies
c) Snuggle quilts for ‘tweens, teens and adults: approximately 3 Yard Quilt sized
d) Twin sized or larger, for child, teen and adult
e)Table toppers.
In 2025 alone, over 175 quilts were donated by our dedicated volunteers!
How You Can Help
You can contribute to our mission in the following ways:
- Donate finished quilts (lap, baby, or twin size)
- Provide cotton fabric
- Create a quilt kit for a volunteer
- Join us at our monthly meetings
- Batting and labels are provided for comfort quilts
