Web Administrator – Henrietta Quilt Club
Position Overview
The Web Administrator is responsible for maintaining, updating, and improving the Henrietta Quilt Club’s website to ensure it is accurate, user-friendly, and reflective of club activities. This role supports communication with members and the public by keeping online content current and accessible.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the club’s website with current information, including meeting schedules, events, workshops, and announcements
- Post photos, newsletters, and quilting resources in a timely manner
- Ensure all website content is accurate, well-organized, and visually consistent
- Manage website functionality, including troubleshooting basic technical issues
- Coordinate with club officers and committee members to gather and publish content
- Monitor website performance and suggest improvements for usability and engagement
- Ensure the website is mobile-friendly and accessible to a wide audience
- Maintain domain and hosting information, including renewals and backups
- Implement basic security practices to protect the site from spam or unauthorized access
Qualifications
- Basic to intermediate experience with website platforms (e.g. WordPress or similar)
- Comfort with uploading images, formatting text, and organizing web pages
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate clearly with club members and leadership
- Interest in quilting or community organizations is a plus, but not required
Time Commitment
- Approximately 2–5 hours per month, depending on club activity
- Additional time may be needed before or after major events
Reporting
- Reports to the Club President or Communications Chair
Term (optional)
- Typically a 1–2 year volunteer position (adjust as needed)
