    Position Overview
    The President serves as the chief leader and representative of the Henrietta Quilt Club, providing direction, coordination, and support to ensure the club operates smoothly and fulfills its mission. This role fosters a welcoming, organized, and engaging environment for all members.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Preside over all club meetings, ensuring they are organized, efficient, and inclusive
    • Develop meeting agendas and coordinate with officers and committee chairs
    • Provide leadership and guidance to the executive board and club committees
    • Serve as the primary representative of the club within the community
    • Oversee planning of programs, workshops, and special events
    • Ensure club activities align with the club’s mission and goals
    • Support and encourage member participation and volunteerism
    • Facilitate communication among officers, committees, and members
    • Address issues or concerns that arise within the club in a fair and constructive manner
    • Ensure continuity by assisting with leadership transitions and mentoring future leaders

    Qualifications

    • Strong organizational and leadership skills
    • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
    • Ability to manage meetings and coordinate multiple activities
    • Reliability and a collaborative mindset
    • Previous involvement in the club or similar organizations is preferred

    Time Commitment

    • Attendance at monthly meetings and board meetings
    • Additional time for planning, coordination, and communication (estimated 5–10 hours per month, depending on activities)

    Reporting

    • Works closely with the executive board; accountable to the club membership
