Minutes: from 6/3/2025 approved.

Treasurer: Peggy D. , the incoming treasurer for the 2025-2027 term, presented the proceeds from
the June fabric sale and the account balance. There are no outstanding bills. Peggy reminds
members that when submitting a check to specify the purpose in the memo line so that funds may be
allocated appropriately. Also when attending an event be sure that you have registered (“signed up”)
with the coordinator of the event. Clarification of usage of the reserve fund will be presented at a
future meeting.
Scholarships are still available. The required form and guidelines are online. Scholarship recipients
agree to share information on techniques learned during an HQC meeting.

Historian: Julie C. is the incoming historian and will store HQC documents and historical items going
forward.

Website: Is up to date. Information on project supplies and dates can be found there.

Comfort Quilts: Carol M. reports that for the July 2024-June 2025 HQC year 173 quilts, 28 pillow
cases , 2 fleeces and 18 home dec. items were donated by members. As of this meeting there are 16
on hand. An additional 20 quilts were donated today. She commends all members for their dedication
to the club’s mission to participate in community service.

Retreat: Chris B. distributed a sign-up sheet for the Fall Retreat October 20 – 22, 2025 at Notre
Dame Retreat Center, 5151 Foster Rd, Canandaigua, NY 14424. Details and pricing can be found on
the website.

Sunshine Committee: Zoe S. no new report. Members notified the group of 2 ailing members who
may appreciate a card.

Books, Magazines:
Kathy R. displayed an assortment made available today.

Fabrics:
No Report

Holiday Charity: Patty Z. is the new coordinator. This year gift cards will be collected for Margaret
Home in East Rochester, a residential facility for mothers in need. Cards from Wegmans, Tops,
Walmart and Aldi’s are recommended.

Holiday Luncheon:
No report

Sit & Sews Sit and Sews are scheduled at Jackie Lynne’s ($5 fee applies) through December and
the Henrietta Town Hall through October.

Picnic:
The Bushman cabin has been reserved for June 9th.  A volunteer is needed to coordinate.

Program:
Linda S. distributed the program schedule that she Chris B. and Donna G. prepared for
2025-2026. It can be found on the website along with all project instructions and supplies lists.
Locations will be the Henrietta Library unless otherwise notified.
Some dates will be at one of the cabins at Veteran’s Memorial Park. Of note there will be a 50th
anniversary celebration on September 16, with a special guest- TBA.

DEMO Today Linda S. demonstrated how to make a Patchwork Coaster. Instructions are on line.
Upcoming projects include:
Queen Bee Program- a sign-up list was distributed. Groups of 4-5 will be assembled to create a 12
inch block each month until June 2026 when the blocks will be completed as a comfort quilt. The
“Queen” or lead of the group will rotate monthly and will select the block and colors for the month that
she is “Queen”. See Website.
Jackie Lynne’s Shop Hop- September 30 at 10:00 AM the shop will open early for HQC members
with a 20% discount on purchases. Members may meet following the hop for lunch in the area.
Fat Quarter Challenge- mystery bags containing 4 fat quarters were distributed for members to create
a project for donation. Additional fabrics may be added to your project. The project should measure
at least 18”X18”
Mini Fabric Sale at the October 7 business meeting in the Robert’s cabin.
Sales & Shows:
There is a huge estate sale of a former quilter September 18 Noon – 7PM, September 19&20 10AM –
4 PM and September 21 10AM-2PM. 591 Scottsville/Chili Rd.
A new shop has opened in Sodus; The Mouse House Stitchery, 47 Maple Ave, Sodus , NY
A number of other shows and sales can be found on the Website under the “Shows and Sales” Tab.

Show & Tell:  Completed projects were presented by members. Photos are on the website.

Next Program Meeting: 50th anniversary celebration on September 16 at Henrietta Library with a
Show and Tell and a special guest- TBA.

Next Business Meeting: 10/7/25 at Robert’s Cabin in Veteran’s Memorial Park. Includes Mini
Fabric Sale and a demo.
